news page pic Music chart summary: w/e December 18th 2010...

This week, the No.1 was taken by Black Eyed Peas climbing from No.6 with The Time (Dirty Bit), which is a pathetic autotuned version of the Dirty Dancing theme. Some people must be dumb as fuck to buy this. On the plus side, it knocks the X-Factor Finalists' cover of David Bowie's Heroes all the way down to No.7.

Meanwhile, there are new entries in the Top 40 for

  • 2 Willow Smith - Whip My Hair
  • 11 Michael Jackson & Akon - Hold My Hand
  • 16 Alexandra Burke - The Silence

Lower entries outside the Top 40 include:

  • 42 Flo-rida - Turn Around (5,4,3,2,1)
  • 44 Manic Street Preachers - Some Kind Of Nothingness
  • 62 Plan B - Love Goes Down
  • 67 Professor Green - feat Jungle
  • 68 Joe Mcelderry - Someone Wake Me Up
  • 69 Kings of Leon - Pyro
  • 93 Devlin feat. Labrinth - Let It Go
  • 99 Skepta vs. N-Dubz - So Alive

In the album charts, Take That retain the No.1 slot with Progress, while Michael Bublé climbs from No.8 to No.2 with Crazy Love.

The other new entries come from:

  • 35 Katherine Jenkins - Believe: Platinum Edition
  • 37 The Priests - Noel
  • 39 Daft Punk - Tron Legacy (OST)
  • 48 Deadmau5 - 4x4=12
  • 53 Bryn Terfel - Carols And Christmas Songs
  • 84 Michael Bublé - Let It Snow!

Check out last week's chart here.

The new release dates for singles and albums can be found HERE and they go up to mid-January 2011.
