Jared Leto plays John Lennon's killer in Chapter 27 on DVD...
Released today:
On December 8th, 1980, John Lennon was gunned down in cold blood by sad loner
Mark Chapman, played here by Jared Leto who put on 67 lbs for the role. Try to
find out what made the man tick in this film also starring Lindsay Lohan as
another Beatles fan, Jude.
Vampires plague Alaska in 30 Days of Night on DVD...
Josh Hartnett and ex-Home & Away star Melissa George are trapped in Barrow,
Alaska, along with the town's residents as the sun sets for the last time
as it enters its dark days. That's when some vampires decide to swoop and
cause the residents a big ton of problems, mainly involving death.
You might not think he made that many individual songs because he burst onto
the scene in 1988 with hits like Never Gonna Give You Up, Together
Forever and a cover of When I Fall In Love, but, as
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
confirms, he's been around long enough to get a 17-track compilation together.
Doctor Who: Martha returns and so do the Sontarans on BBC1...
With a guest role from Young Ones star Christopher Ryan as the
leader of the evil race, the Sontarans who first turned up in 1973's adventure
The Time Warrior are back to kill off the human race again, this time
with the aid of a spooky sat-nav. And last year's assistant, Martha, is back
and she needs the Doctor's help.

The series continues this Saturday, on BBC1 at 6.20pm with The Poison Sky,
which is the second part of this story.
The main clip uploaded from some recent telly is when Gail Porter appeared on
The Wright Stuff and talked about her colonic irrigation that she'd tried out
the day before. Just wait for the moment when our Prime Minister's face appears
on a newspaper with the words "Brown Wednesday" above him!
Also uploaded as many clips from the Wright Stuff show, to tie in with
their Facebook page, since my Youtube page is now also the official one for
the TV show in question, including Dom Joly commenting on John Prescott, Matthew
Wright talking about 'sleepweeing' and Dave Spikey discussing whether we're
allowed to sing "Baa Baa Black Sheep" any more. On GMTV, Andrea has something
for everyone, Penny does a Dalek impression, a Californian man's face turns
blue and both Penny Smith & John Stapleton celebrate 10 years on GMTV together.
There are also interviews with Jessica Stevenson, John Hurt, Robyn, Russell
Brand, Danny Glover, Jon Culshaw, Anna Friel, Jodie Marsh and Heather Mills
is back on GMTV!
Whitesnake release a new CD with a prophetic title...
After a ten-year gap, David Coverdale and co. are back with a new album, but
they seem a long way away from classics like Fool For Your Loving, Is This Love
and Here I Go Again and, according to
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts,
this certainly is rather a bad album.
Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Max Beesley, Anamaria Marinca, David Harewood,
Geraldine James and Robert Carlyle, this engaging, tough, political thriller
ended last month on BBC1 and, in my view, came to a perfect conclusion, which
is not something you can say about most TV dramas. Find out why in this
review, which also includes interviews with Benedict Cumberbatch on Breakfast
and David Harewood on GMTV.
Kelley Stoltz releases a lacklustre follow-up on CD...
His last album, Below the Branches, was a fantastic 13-track compilation,
but with a few more indie touches, this latest release comes across as a
little too self-indulgent according to
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts.
Christian Bale tells a real-life story in Rescue Dawn on DVD...
Shot down during a bombing raid over Laos in Vietnam in 1965, Dieter Dengler
wasn't at all prepared for being captured by the Vietcong and being made a
prisoner of war, but worse was yet to come as the Vietnam war hadn't got into
full swing yet. Christian Bale is a tour-de-force as the US Navy pilot in
this movie, which is based on a true story.
Michael McDonald releases another covers album on CD...
One of the music industry's biggest names, you'd expect Michael McDonald
to come up trumps every time, but as
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
confirms, the man has been rather lazy of late with one covers album after
another...
With a guest role from Tim McInnery as an evil businessman, he was
probably the best thing in an otherwise average script as David Tennant shouted
even more than Catherine Tate normally does.

The series continues this Saturday, on BBC1 at 6.20pm with The Sontaran Stratagem,
guest-starring Christopher Ryan and there's the return of Freema Agyeman as Martha...
The main clip uploaded from some recent telly is an interview with George
Clooney on GMTV about his film, Leatherheads. The interview had to be uploaded
in two parts thanks to Youtube's 10-minute limit.
Also uploaded as many clips from the Wright Stuff show, to tie in with
their Facebook page, since my Youtube page is now also the official one for
the TV show in question, including Brian Connelly baring his bum, Brian dropping a bit of a swear and a mad caller who wasn't really listening to
what Matthew was saying.
There are also clips of Declan on Breakfast insulting past presenter Dermot,
plus interviews on there with Russell T Davies and a piece about the new
series of Doctor Who, Mark Addy, Kim Wilde, Alison Steadman and Glen Hansard,
plus Alison Moyet on the Andrew Marr show, and several GMTV clips including
Penny Smith having a short pause... of sorts.
Oh, and a cool advert for E4 with a '70s sports programme theme that I just can't
pinpoint for the life of me!

Chapter 27 on DVD
Note that the comp for Moving Wallpaper/Echo Beach on DVD has now finished,
the winner shall be notified shortly and the answer was that Ben Miller is
one half of a comedy double-act with Alexander Armstrong.
CHARTS: Estelle vs. Madonna - who got the No.1...?
Almost two years ago there was a classic game of puzzling proportions in
Loco Roco on the Sony PSP, and this new title comes from the same
studio, although while it's captured the imagination of some, it's one I just
find a lot less interesting...
Pretenders to the Zeppelin crown: Black Mountain on CD...
The second album by Black Mountain is one that has comparisons with Led Zeppelin
and Deep Purple, according to
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts,
but it appears they haven't quite pulled off what they could have done...
There's something odd about the Black Sheep on DVD...
A comedy that's been criticised for being total nonsense, this film hasn't
got any big names in it and I found it to be quite a hoot since, quite by
accident, mutant zombie sheep are roaming the land and what is there to be
done about them? If you like a good laugh, you'll enjoy this.
What the White Stripes did next: The Raconteurs on CD...
With their second album,
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
finds this latest creation to feature White Stripes' Jack White to be not
quite as good as it should be, but of the 14 tracks it's still more hit than
miss.
With guest roles from Phil Davis and Peter Capaldi, could this
one fail to impress? Well, for me it did a bit since these two were rather
underused and apart from a big moral dilemma for the Doctor, there wasn't a great
deal going on. However,
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Dan Owen
did enjoy it and here's his review of the episode.

The series continues this Saturday, on BBC1 at 6.20pm with Planet Of The Ood,
guest-starring Tim McInnery.
Well, last week I was up to date, and now I'm behind again, so this week's
clips have mostly been uploaded for the Wright Stuff show, to tie in with
their Facebook page, since my Youtube page is now also the official one for
the TV show in question.
There are many great clips uploaded from last week's show, including Dave Gorman
talking about additivies, the fact that 1 in 5 partners are snoopers, Ricky
Tomlinson phoning in about prison and, very amusingly, Dave Gorman having
something to say about how Al-Qaeda has a connection with The Muppets!
Following on from
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts'
review of the Latin-flavoured released, today he checks out a different
continent and finds the music is just as flavoursome and inviting there
too!
Outside in the UK the weather is occasionally threatening to bring some snow
when it's meant to be spring time, so what better than to forget all that
and, as
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
invites, Bring on the Summer!, with 11 class tracks that makes for a
"superb Reggae twist with masses of Latin flavours".
Come back tomorrow for another summer-like album as we head for a different
continent.
A road trip with a difference: The Darjeeling Limited on DVD...
Released today:
Starring Jason Schwartzman, Adrien Brody and Owen Wilson, with cameos from
Bill Murray and Natalie Portman, this is a neat little tale with such simple
touches as well as all of Wes Anderson's fantastic visual style in this
brilliant road movie.
Ten years after it first came out, this 18-track compilation is still worth
another listen as it gets a download release for the first time as well.
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
invites us to revel in classics such as Black Night, Speed King and
Smoke on the Water.
Alas, we were taking a break when last year's series was aired so weren't
able to bring you the reviews of the episodes from
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Dan Owen
but he's back with this Russell T Davies-written tale that re-introduces
Catherine Tate back into the series as new assistant Donna Noble and places
Corrie's Sarah Lancashire in the role of the baddie.

The series continues this Saturday, on BBC1 at 6.45pm with The Fires Of
Pompeii, guest-starring Peter Capaldi and Phil Davis.
Now almost up to date on uploads, the best of the bunch comes from a surprising
moment where Penny Smith is interrupted by a clattering sound just off-camera.
There's been loads of great clips from Culture Show, Something For The Weekend,
GMTV and Breakfast uploaded in the past week, with April Fool's newspaper
stories in the papers, Chris Hollins' first attempt at presenting Breakfast,
Penny's back on the polar bears, she also has something to say about horses
being taken into hospital, there are noisy planes in Baghdad on News 24 as
well as Emily Maitlis having microphone trouble, and what does Ken Livingstone
have to do with a donkey penis on The Wright Stuff?
Plus, there's interviews with Phil Davis, Brian Blessed, Gail Porter, Mike Batt,
Adrian Edmondson, French & Saunders, Cherie Lunghi, Steve Pemberton and Siobhan
Finneran on Benidorm, and Supergrass perform their new single on the Culture
Show.

CHARTS: Estelle vs. Mariah Carey - who got the No.1...?
Simply Red re-release their finest hour on a new CD/DVD package...
If you're going to release a Collector's Edition of a classic album then you'd
best go to town on it, and that's exactly what Simply Red have done here as
their biggest-selling album, Stars, has been re-released in a new
package containing two CDs and a DVD.
It's a must for any fan, and it's made
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
a very happy man.
Their latest album, In Rainbows, came out on New Year's Eve and this
single was released this week. Check out what
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
has to say about it and whether or not you agree you'll find you have the
chance to *remix* the song on Radiohead's own site!
Radiohead: Nude
is online and out as a single on CD, 7" and download.
British Sea Power have an important question on CD...
With a new 12-track album out,
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer, Elly Roberts
confirms that this is a band who make some interesting music with an Indie
twang, but which have a while to go before they've proved themselves.
