October 31st: Groove down with the Legends of Motown & Soul Weekender: Live in Prestatyn... The day before DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts went to see The Raconteurs in Manchester, he ventured to Prestatyn to see class acts such as backing singers The Andantes, plus the seven-piece Midnight Hour Soul Band and The Countours, all of whom performed over an entire weekend. October 30th: Take a stand with the X-Men on DVD... I never read the comics and the first film didn't do it for me, but the second film completely turned things around but with one main character dead by the end of the second film, who will be up for the chop this time? And, anyway, there's always scores more mutants to take their place, surely? Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry are joined by Kelsey Grammar, Ellen Page and even Vinnie Jones for this latest outing, but will it be their last? X-Men: The Last Stand is online and out now on DVD.

What next for Jack White? The Raconteurs Live in Manchester... The White Stripes are no more and, according to DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts, Jack White is the new guitar god. Four new Wrestling titles on DVD from Silver Vision... The first title, The History of the WWE Championship (£29.99), is out on October 23rd and spans across three discs with matches from 1971 to 2005, including WWWF Championship Match: Ivan Koloff vs. Pedro Morales in 1971, WWE Championship Match: Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior in 1990 and Street Fight For The WWE Championship: Triple H vs. Cactus Jack in 2000. Then, on November 6th for £19.99 is the first two-disc double bill in this round-up, Ultimate Fighting Championship 21 & 22, where matches include Maurice Smith vs. Marco Ruas, Pat Miletich vs. Andre Pederneiras plus Frank Shamrock Vs. 'Free' legend Paul Rodgers live from Manchester... On Sunday night, the former Free and Bad Country frontman Paul Rodgers performed live at the Lowry in Salford Quays, Manchester, and DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts was there to witness a magnificent set and got to meet the man himself. Snooker player Paul Hunter loses his battle with cancer... Last night, snooker player Paul Hunter lost his battle with cancer after first having been diagnosed with dozens of neuro endocrine tumours on the lining of his stomach in March 2005. I'm a big fan of snooker and I was really sorry to hear about this as I thought he was in remission and 27 is no age to die, particularly given that his daughter was only born on Boxing Day last year. He always came across as a top bloke on TV and put on a brave face at both World Snooker Championships in 2005 and 2006. I know there's a few snooker tournaments to come between now and WSC 2007 but I bet there'll be tributes aplenty at the latter. If you click on the picture of Paul Hunter, right, it'll take you to the BBC's website with tributes from many of the key snooker players over the years including Willie Thorne who said "Deep down I think we all thought he was going to beat the disease" and John Parrott who said Hunter was referred to as "The Beckham of the baize".

October 9th: Action-blasting aplenty in F.E.A.R. on PC DVD-ROM... This one came out towards the end of last year, but with an expansion pack in the offing we take a look at this first-person shooter we didn't get chance to check out at the time and see whether it has something new to offer or just follows the trend of all the rest. F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon is online and out now on PC.

Hark back to good times with Level 42 on CD... Like DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts one of my favourite bands from the '80s was Level 42, and many a mid-'80s evening would be spent playing on my ZX Spectrum while listening to World Machine or Running in the Family and they've been absent for a long time, but will this new release be full of classics like Hot Water, Leaving Me Now and Something About You or mediocre fluff like Tracie?
