Highlights of DVDs and Games out in time for Xmas...
With so much stuff released in the run up to Xmas day, plus a few treats
out just afterwards to make use of those gift tokens, we figured a brief
rundown of those titles coming up would be just the thing and that's what
we have today.
26 DVDs and 20 games are featured in this Xmas 2005 roundup,
and previous round-ups can be found
here.
Three weeks ago we brought you our review of this new title on the Xbox,
and it didn't really hit the spot, it can be said. However, we've taken
another look at it with fresh eyes to see if it has improved... So, has it?
Read on.
Become Jack Carver, trapped in the middle of nowhere and trying to find out
what's going on in the middle of the jungle...
Today we feature
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts'
review of an album from Bolton-born Rob McCulloch, a 19-year-old singer-songwriter
whose music is reminiscent of The Verve.
The first title was released in March and was an engaging action/strategy game
with authentic situations and battles on which to embark. This sequel goes
back to D-Day for a concurrent storyline, but is it as good?
Another week and another John Lennon re-release from
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts
but is this one better than last week's? Well, it doesn't have Yoko wailing
away for a start.
Today sees the release of Herbie: Fully Loaded starring Lindsay
Lohan and Michael Keaton and you can win a copy of this title on DVD in
the new competitions online from today. Also online are syndicated interviews
featuring the two stars.
The release dates for singles go up until January
with albums also until March 2006.
And the picture is from the Goldie Lookin Chain single, but while
I haven't reviewed it, I'd rather be looking at Gemma Atkinson (aka Lisa
Hunter from Hollyoaks) as featured on the single cover, than any of the
alternatives.

Following on from the release their of Simplified CD and the Live
in Cuba DVD, here's
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts'
promised review of their recent live concert in Manchester.
When this film was released at the cinema, the media completely ignored the
content and just chose to fix on the relationship between its two leads,
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. If they'd actually watched the
film instead, they'd have found a very entertaining action/comedy in there.
John Lennon spends 'Sometime in New York City' on CD...
This is a re-release for one of Lennon's classic solo albums, but according to
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts
it's really not anything to shout about, particularly when Yoko Ono's doing
the shouting...
Before we bring you
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Elly Roberts'
review of Simply Red live in concert in Manchester recently, take a look
at what he thought of their live DVD in Cuba. He didn't particularly
like their latest album, Simplified, so can this DVD redress the
balance?

career at the time of his recording, so what is it that made him so good?
