The new releases lists go up to late March,
and look on the bright side that this week sees the beginning of the end for
the career of La Beckham (right), since perhaps when this single flops and so does
the subsequent album, she'll finally get the message and live off her hubby's
career.
Victoria, just be thankful you can quit music and won't end up this time next
month finding your next words to be, "Do you want fries with that?"

Dan's Movie Digest - 2003 Retrospective @ DVDfever.co.uk...
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Dan Owen
wraps up the year with a look back at the treats and the turkeys, whilst
pointing out his Top 10 favourites for the year and hinting at those which
may become the biggest hits of 2004.
A last-minute addition to the last major update before the Xmas break, the
questions only just came in this morning and we are proud to present this
interview with Rick Wakeman, in connection with the new DVD, YesSpeak.
Stuck for something to do this weekend? Live in the Manchester area? The list
of the films showing at
Manchester Showcase Cinema
can be found on this page.
The new films released this week include: Freaky Friday, Good Boy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
and reviews of Finding Nemo and Matrix Revolutions
are already online and out now.
Next major DVDfever.co.uk update on January 5th 2004...
Ok, since most other places seem to shut down over the two-week Xmas period,
I'm doing the same. Time for a well-deserved break, methinks.
However, I will still update the music charts inbetween so check back for
those on the Monday, especially since this weekend will reveal the Xmas No.1.
Looking back on 2003, some things have been achieved with our help, such as
getting the problem fixed ITV1 for those watching via Sky
(See the Granada TV Issues page),
and the help of websites like
LogoFreeTV.org
which has led to
Sky One
and
Channel 4
removing the red dot as a constant onscreen presence.
On a plus side also,
BBC Three
don't use their channel logo all the time, removing it for certain dramas and
comedies, as well as films, and BBC Four are more selective about its use
too. Just a shame that UK Gold continue to be pig-ignorant about red
dots and their bloody "7 Days To Go Until... (more repeats)". Katie
Barnard - hang your head in shame!
Until January, I wish everyone apart from her a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Kirsten
returns for her last review before Xmas, yet another Star Wars game making
it to a console, this one taking on RPG elements with mini-games, as you control
up to three characters and cross various locations such as Tatooine,
the Sith world of Korriban and the Jedi Academy on Dantooine.
Courtesy of the programme's director Andy Ide,
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Ash
has been able to view a number of episodes from this excellent series
starring the cute pixie Nadia, as well as a bonus episode of his new outing,
Alias Kelle Marie.
Which one got the No.1? You'll have to find out tomorrow...

DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Kirsten
takes a look today at a game we looked at last year, but it's worth seeing
if it has stood the test of time since then.
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Kirsten
returns with a game of robot vs. robot, and it's one that's been out for a
while so has now dropped down to budget price, so there's no excuse not to
make a purchase.
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Travis Willock
returns with his column detailing the new announcements for
films on Region 1 DVD, starting with this issue's big title,
Dawn of the Dead.
Last year the renegade detective's wife was murdered and his closest ally,
Mona Sax, was bumped off, but the latter turns out not to be true as she's
back in this sequel which effectively uses the 'bullet time' function once
again and the whole thing is great fun to play from start to finish.
Since digital terrestrial TV was launched, and with the threat of analogue
being switched off, the one thing the home consumer has been asking for is
a combined receiver and VCR unit, since not everyone wants two boxes under their
TV, nor do they all want recordable DVD.
We're grateful to Eddie Talbot for letting us publish sections of
his review for this new product, and there's a link to the complete review
with more pictures of how it all works.

New
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Kirsten
returns with another review, this time of a Gameboy Advance game which to
these 31-year-old eyes makes no sense whatsoever. Given how the age range is
"3+", maybe it's those at that end of the scale which will actually understand
it?
Well, there's just a bit more than that, plus over two hours of music from
their live concert, with this double-disc DVD that takes a look at all aspects
of the band since they formed 35 years ago, with plenty of comments and chat
from Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Alan White, Steve Howe & Rick Wakeman.
Today we introduce new
DVDfever.co.uk reviewer Kirsten
who will be bringing a number of game and DVD reviews from a woman's point
of view - she asked me to point out - and the first one is the latest Tom
Clancy game that excels itself both offline and online when you want to use
the Xbox Live service.
