Having recently gone top of all world-wide download charts, Speed Of
Sound, released from forthcoming album X&Y,this is typical of a song that
will hit the UK singles chart with a surge.
Initially, their huge fanbase will secure it’s pole position, followed by the middle-ground and then the casual
buyer. Imagine a graph with it’s position at the top, then unlike previous
offerings which tailed off gradually down to zero, this will drop quite
rapidly.
With it’s predictably radio-friendly lush production, it is by far
the worst Coldplay single to date.
